Ghodbunder Road is one of Thane's busiest and most important arterial roads, connecting the western suburbs to central Thane — and Prestige Kolshet Thane sits just a short distance from it.
Ghodbunder Road links Thane to Mira Road, Borivali and the broader western suburbs of Mumbai, making it one of the most heavily used corridors in the region. A flat within easy reach of this road typically offers flexibility for commuting across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
Over the years, this corridor has also seen a steady rise in retail, healthcare and educational establishments along its length, which indirectly benefits residential pockets like Kolshet that sit just off the main road rather than directly on it.
At approximately 2 km / 5 minutes from Ghodbunder Road, Prestige Kolshet Thane is well-positioned to take advantage of this connectivity without sitting directly on the busiest stretch of the road. The site is also close to the Eastern Express Highway (~4-6 km) for access toward central Mumbai.
The planned Thane-Borivali twin tunnel, roughly 5 km from the site, is expected to further ease access toward the western suburbs once completed — this is a future infrastructure benefit and not yet operational, so it shouldn't be the sole reason for a buying decision today.
Similarly, Metro Line 4 (Wadala-Kasarvadavali) and Metro Line 5 (Thane-Bhiwandi-Kalyan) are planned corridors for the wider Thane region. Both could meaningfully improve long-term connectivity once operational, but treat them as a bonus to today's road-based access rather than a confirmed, present-day amenity.

If you regularly travel toward Borivali or the western suburbs, it's worth personally test-driving the Ghodbunder Road stretch at your usual travel time before finalising a decision, since posted distance figures don't always reflect real peak-hour conditions.
